ADCQ November 2000

The Final Tale for 2000...

Twas the month before Xmas, the last event to be had, four classes on the card, and some challenges to behold.
It was the last event on the calendar for us for 2000 and both dogs ran well. Once again the tunnel discrimination cost Missy a couple of qualifiers- once she was eliminated, and once over time. It is certainly on our Xmas list of things to work on. The first class was the International Agility Link Open Agility Course and Billy was first up. He did a great job- ran his tunnels well, worked his weavers, kept the momentum flowing for the whole course. Low and behold we went clear and were a second under time- whew. Missy also ran a nice course, but we got an incorrect tunnel entry to be eliminated. Though a little disappointing, the rest of the course she handled very nicely. Novice agility was next up and Billy had a refusal when I turned him too quick onto the A-Frame. Missy had a fault on the weavers - My side change behind her pulled her out part way down. Onto jumpers and Missy ran a nice course but had two time penalties. These were mostly due to a call-off and slow recovery. Billy ran clear and under time for his second quali for the night and his SAAD title. We were very happy! The novelty event was Power and Speed and once again, a tunnel discrimination was Missy's undoing. Overall though a great night, but a late finish due to the Baseballers.

No photos for the event but the IAL course will be included once all countries have finalised their running of the course.
